FAQs (Before the Test)
How can I find out the test dates for ISAT?
There are NO set test dates for ISAT sittings. This offers great flexibility, allowing candidates to select from dates, times and locations that suit them best. You may enter the Prometric ISAT registration site and proceed with selecting preferred test centre locations to check dates and times, without committing to register.
The Prometric online registration system will only allow me to book up to 8 weeks in advance. Can I book a date even further in the year?
Yes, you are able to book a date further than 8 weeks ahead, providing it is within the ISAT test window. To do this, you should contact the Prometric Candidate Care line applicable to your region. The phone numbers are located on the Prometric/ACER website. Select the link to either: 'Americas', 'Asia Pacific' or 'Europe, Middle East & Africa'. Prometric/ACER Contact Numbers
What is my ISAT ID Number?
When you receive your registration confirmation by email from Prometric, you will be issued a "Prometric Order Confirmation Number", which is also your "ISAT ID number". This will appear in the subject line of your email.
How do I contact a test centre located near me?
If you have specific questions about your registration, you are able to contact the Prometric Candidate Care line applicable to your region. The phone numbers are located on the Prometric/ACER website. Select the link to either: 'Americas', 'Asia Pacific' or 'Europe, Middle East & Africa'. Prometric/ACER Contact Numbers
I have gone to the 'Locate a Test Site' link on the Prometric site and have selected my preferred country. I am trying to select a state/province and it says 'None'.
This is OK. Some countries on the database are set up to select states at this point, whilst others are not. Simply select the 'Next' button.
I have completed my registration but have discovered I made an error and need to change it.
You can log back in to the Prometric/ACER website and make changes to your details, or call the Prometric Candidate Care line applicable to your region. The phone numbers are located on the Prometric/ACER website. Select the link to either: 'Americas', 'Asia Pacific' or 'Europe, Middle East & Africa'. Prometric/ACER Contact Numbers
I have completed my registration but the confirmation email says my Exam Status is "Pending". What does this mean?
The Pending Exam Status refers to whether the exam has been sat yet or not. Once you have sat the ISAT exam, the status on your record will change to Completed.
What will happen if I re-sit ISAT within 12 months of my previous sitting?
You will have wasted your money if you sit for the test again within 12 months. Our database records the correct date of your previous sitting, as soon as your results for the second sitting go into the database, we will be alerted that an illegal second sitting has taken place, and the second set of results will be immediately withdrawn. In those circumstances there is no refund of test fees, and you may not sit the test again until 12 months after your second sitting.
I paid my test fee by credit card, but something strange happened during the transaction, and I’m not sure if it has gone through, or not. Should I register again?
NO! Wait for about an hour, and check your email to see if the receipt has come through. If you receive an Exam Appointment Summary email with the subject title “Prometric Exam Information – confirmation #”, then everything is fine - your test booking is confirmed.
If you do not receive any email from Prometric, then you should contact the Prometric Candidate Care line applicable to your region. The phone numbers are located on the Prometric/ACER website. Select the link to either: 'Americas', 'Asia Pacific' or 'Europe, Middle East & Africa' Prometric/ACER Contact Numbers. Prometric/ACER Contact Numbers
However, please note that credit card transactions may be subsequently declined during further verification with the credit card issuing bank in the following few days. In such cases, your exam registration will be automatically cancelled by the system and an exam cancellation notification email will be sent to you. You are encouraged to review the status of your appointment 3-4 days after the initial registration where possible, by visiting the website http://www.register.prometric.com. Choose "Candidate History", then login using your e-mail address and password. Should your exam registration status appear "cancelled", please contact the Prometric Candidate Care line (described above) as soon as possible. A staff member will be able to advise the problem and facilitate re-registration of your test sitting.
I’ve changed my mind about the date or the centre that I want to sit at. Can I transfer to another sitting?
A US$50 fee will be charged if you reschedule or cancel your test session within 30 calendar days of the appointment. Please refer to the Refund Policy for further details, and log back into your registration on the Prometric website to reschedule/cancel your registration. (You’ll need to refer to your Prometric Order Confirmation Number).
Is the name I use to register to sit the ISAT test important?
YES, definitely. You must use your full formal name as per your passport or other official identity documentation. Your name should be registered for the ISAT test exactly as it is used to apply to universities or admissions centres. This is an important element of matching test results and university applications.
