Reasonable Adjustments

If you have a disability or other health-related needs which might interfere with your ability to sit the test in the standard manner, please follow the process below:

  1. Check the Prometric website for your nearest test centre. DO NOT register yet.
  2. Submit a letter (no more than one year old) from a registered health practitioner outlining your condition, the impact of your condition in testing settings, and a statement as to what accommodations your health practitioner recommends for you in testing settings. Send the document to the ISAT office via email:, including reference to your most convenient test centre and your contact details.
  3. A committee at ACER will consider your case and if approved, Prometric Customer Care team will contact you to book your ISAT sitting.
  4. Once your registration is confirmed, ACER will issue you with an Authority for Reasonable Adjustments letter. Please ensure that you take this letter along to your test sitting.

Please allow plenty of time for this process. ACER must give Prometric 30 days notice of a special sitting.

All reasonable efforts will be made to provide appropriate testing conditions for approved candidates. The graphical nature of many of the items in the test means that ISAT is not suitable for conversion to Braille, audio tape, or e-text.

Note: There is no possibility of special consideration being given to test results. In no circumstances will scores be adjusted to account for any perceived disadvantage.
